Description
Join us for this fun run/walk for a cause on the beautiful island of CocoCay, Bahamas! This one-mile course along Royal Caribbean’s private island paradise is suitable for all ages and fitness levels. You’ll have the opportunity to be the first guests to set foot on the island before anyone else and take in the beauty and charm as you walk/run to raise money and awareness with some of your gluten-free friends and family. Small prizes will be awarded to all of our finishers!
Details
- This event takes place on the morning of June 27th, upon arrival to Perfect Day at CocoCay, and will begin as soon as the ship is cleared by the local authorities.
- Exact time and meeting location will be communicated onboard, scheduled arrival is 7:00 AM.
- Participants will be able to return to the ship following the walk/run to enjoy their gluten-free breakfast before enjoying the day on the island.
- Registration fee is $25, with an optional additional donation of $50 (see Why We Walk below)
Why We Walk
Welcome to the Gluten-Free Gladiators at Sea!
Our team is unique in that we will all walk together on Tuesday, June 27th on Royal Caribbean’s beautiful island in the Bahamas- Perfect Day at Coco Cay! We hope all our Celiac Cruise Bahamas guests will join us on this family friendly walk to support our national food insecurity program for families with celiac disease.
How does your support help? All proceeds from this event will be given to the Food Insecurity Program. Registration is just $25 to participate but you will also have the opportunity to donate an additional $50 so your donation will feed a food insecure family with celiac disease by supplying a month’s worth of gluten-free food. This includes gluten-free bread for making sandwiches, pasta, pizza crusts, and other snack items for kids to take to school.
